Candice Bukky

Candice graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Sociology.  She started her professional career at the Lake County Sheriff’s Department and later moved into the paralegal field.  After several years of sitting at a desk, she knew she needed a healthy career change.  She started personal training in August of 2011.

Athletics have always played an important role in Candice’s life.  She played four sports through high school, was a collegiate softball player, a kickboxing instructor, and an avid skier.  With that being said, her first few training sessions at MaxStrength Fitness challenged her to a physical and mental degree she had yet experienced during exercise.  She was immediately hooked!  Her passion in training others to reach their strength and fitness goals’ continues to grow with each session.

Something you may find interesting about Candice is that she gives herself a challenge every year on her birthday.  She has backpacked around Australia, went vegetarian for a year, rode her bicycle across the United States, participated in the Polar Plunge, shaved her head for the St. Baldricks Foundation, and donated her hair to Wigs for Kids.

Stephen Zbornik

Discovering strength and conditioning training when I first enter high school it quickly became the focus of all my free time.  After graduating high school I

attended community college for a year and a half until realizing I didn’t have a clear direction and was wasting money. Always being a hobby I never really had the confidence to pursue exercise science as career. While working various jobs, I put myself through welding and fabrication school. After graduating I worked for various shops down in Athens, GA. This really helped my realized what I didn’t want to do. The work was extremely punishing and was effecting my health which was the exact opposite direction I wanted to move in. Enough was enough and through my pursuits and desperation I made the decision to do what I love. I came home to Bay Village, got a job at my local YMCA, and decided to take the first step and get my personal training certification. A couple of weeks later I found the opportunity at Max Strength Fitness and the rest is history.

1. Why Max Strength?
When I first heard about the protocol that Max Strength uses I was skeptical. But after my first couple meetings with Jeff and going through the hiring process it became clear to me that this protocol is the most practical and effective when it comes to working with the general public. I loved how throughout the whole hiring process Max Strength gave me more than enough reading material and information to get me in gear with what we are doing and to keep learning in general. The wealth of knowledge here is unbelievable especially when comparing it to your normal commercial gym. Everyone at Max Strength is more than pleasant to work with. I can not think of a better place to start my career in exercise science or a better place to be a personal trainer.
2. Favorite food?
I cant think of anything specific. I love to cook in my free time and anything new that I can learn to cook usually takes that place for a while.
3. Favorite TV Show?
Better call Saul
4. Favorite movie?
Eyes Wide Shut
5. Favorite outdoor activity?
6. Bucketlist?
make millions of dollars
